Surface area and particle size distribution measurements are two of the most important physical properties for advanced and nanomaterials characterisation. These techniques provide important information about the material characteristics, which is important for various applications. The data generated from these techniques can be used to support other data obtained by other techhniques.
Surface area and pore size distribution by gas absorption for porous materials, and particle size distribution by the DLS technique for non porous materials are the two most important physical properties for advanced and nanomaterials characterisations. These techniques provide information about the material characteristics which are important for various applications such as absorption process, catalysis, energy storage, etc. The data generated from these techniques are complimentary to other anaylses, especially from FESEM and TEM.
