Eleven public sector saving measures announced by the Prime
Minister is as follows:
1) Entertainment allowance of ministers and deputy ministers will be reduced
by 10 percent.
2)Entertainment allowance for senior government officials Grade Designation of Public Sector C (Jusa C) above will be reduced by 5 to 10
3)Reduction of 5 percent in the whole costs of the electric utility
ministries / departments / agencies / government premises.
4)Toll facility for senior government officials (Grade Premier Grade C and above) reduced by RM50 to RM100 or 30 percent.
5)New applications for modification of a ministry / department / premises
were be frozen
6)Tightened the appointment of the consultant or consultant for physical projects government including the conduct feasibility study, where the proposed appointment shall be submitted in advance to the National Development Planning Committee chaired by Chief Secretary to the Government for approval.
7)Amendments to the eligibility of domestic and international air tickets for
civil servants. For example, eligibility for the domestic aviation sector civil servants JUSA C and below is Economy Class.
8)Reduce food and beverage preparation during organizing conferences, seminars, meetings, training courses, workshops or other formal events government.
9)Reducing the use of banners (bunting and banners) for organizing conferences, seminars, meetings, training courses, workshops or other formal events
10)Optimizing the use of existing office space to reduce
rental of office premises.
11) Applying the approach of the National Blue Ocean Strategy (NBOS) with optimize the use of the 1Malaysia or 1Malaysia Training Center Training Center (1MTC) and also the facilities owned training institutions government for organizing courses, seminars and workshops.
